Handsome Joey has been in foster care for over a year and has settled very well. Joey had a rear leg amputation back in 2023 due to an old injury, but he still very much enjoys his walks and leads a normal greyhound life!
His foster carer says Joey enjoys going to sunbathe at the allotment and also visiting the pub where he gets lots of attention and the odd chip!
Joey is loyal, housetrained and used to everything in the home. He bonds very closely to his person and likes to lean and be fussed. He appreciates having company but can learn to be left on his own for short periods given time to adjust to his new home and routine. Joey will happily make friends with some dogs but can be reactive to others. He’s not cat friendly.
Ideal Home Description
Joey is happiest as the only pet but could live with sensible teenagers. Due to his leg amputation, Joey can struggle with uneven/slippery surfaces but otherwise manages well. He can climb stairs now but this will be more difficult as he gets older.

Hippo is a truly stunning boy with his tall, elegant stature and sleek, shiny coat. Mostly good on the lead too, Hippo loves to be out walking or visiting a secure field for a stretch of the legs. Hippo can be unsure of new people and in new situations so will be best in an adult home with a good routine. He will need lots of time, patience and multiple visits to gain trust of any potential adopter. Hippo will be a very loyal companion once he bonds with you.
Hippo is in Kennel 10
Hippo’s racing name was Twende Kiboko [IE/IE 2019] . Born 15 February 2019

Handsome, happy Spy is our second longest stayer. He is mostly good on the lead and friendly with the other hounds that he knows. Spy has grown in confidence so much since he first came to us, he’s really funny and loves showing his cheeky and playful nature now. Spy can still be shy in new places and may be fear reactive towards other breeds – plenty of space, positive reinforcement and slow introductions really help him succeed. Given some time, patience and routine, Spy will make a fab pet, we all think he’s great!
Spy’s ideal Home
Spy would be best suited to someone kind and gentle with dog experience. He needs someone who will help him gain confidence at his own pace. A home in a quieter location would be preferable, with a garden for him to enjoy some playtime. He is mostly easy on the lead but needs someone who can manage his strength if he gets spooked/reacts to something. He loves to feel comfy and warm.
Spy is in Kennel 14
Spy’s racing name was Citizen Spy [IE/IE 2018] Born June 2018
