More About Us

We work tirelessly to rehome ex-racing greyhounds

A great group of volunteers work selflessly to support our co-ordinator Corrine Douglas and our terrific team of Kennels staff (led by our Kennels Manager Molly Paul).

Almost all of the funds to run the Charity are raised by our volunteers.

How it began….

Yarmouth Greyhound Homefinders was founded in 1999 by the Yarmouth Stadium owner Stephen Franklin.

With the welfare of the greyhounds a priority, Stephen decided that all greyhounds should have a loving home when their racing careers were over.

Homefinders is now an independent registered charity which is committed to finding the right home for the right retired greyhound and to provide the best possible care to the greyhounds while they are awaiting adoption.

We now have a very successful rehoming set-up based at Hainford in Norfolk.

Since 1999 we have found homes for well over 2500 greyhounds and have made many friends both human and canine on the way.

We provide all the help and support that adopters need, from helping them to choose the right dog for them through to providing support and advice throughout the dog’s life.

Corinne Douglas is the Charity co-ordinator. Corinne is committed to the Charity being run in a way that focuses on the care of dogs while they are with us and finding the right dog for the right person.

We now have five paid members of staff. Molly is the Kennels Manager. Molly is ably assisted by Dana, Ash, Alex and Emma who all work part time. They all share a love of greyhounds.

We have a growing band of volunteer helpers who can provide additional support to adopters. Our volunteers also help to care for the dogs waiting to be adopted and raise funds for the Charity. Together with people who have adopted greyhounds we have a happy and supportive greyhound community.

Without our volunteers we just could not function.

Molly Paul our Kennels Manager will help you to choose the right dog for you.

Molly, our Kennels Manager, loves greyhounds. She has a deep understanding of greyhounds, their nature and needs. This not only helps to ensure that the greyhounds in our kennels receive the best possible care and love but also helps Molly to match the right dog with the right home.
Molly will work with you to find the right hound for you.
Molly is ably assisted by greyhound loving Dana, Alex, Ashleigh and Emma who are part time.

Please join us.
