Blake is a big, happy boy who is always wagging his tail! He is confident and friendly with everyone and greets everything with enthusiasm. He is excitable on walks but doesn’t pull much.

Con is a stunning boy with a shiny blue coat and bright, loving eyes – he is a real head turner. Sadly, Con has just been returned due to the declining health of his owner. Con was homed for 5 months and has made a lot of progress in this time – he is housetrained, happy to be left for short periods and is well accustomed to home comforts! Con is an active hound and can be strong on the lead but this too has improved. He has a very loving, affectionate and loyal nature with the makings to be a brilliant companion.

Ideal Home

Con will suit an active home where he can enjoy long walks with his people. He likes consistency and routine and loves to be with you. He could live with older children/teenagers and other hounds, given successful introductions.

Con is not suited to live with very young children or small dogs/cats.

Maisie is a happy, waggy-tailed girl who is friendly with everyone and loves to be with people. Maisie can be bouncy on the lead initially but does settle down. She will be a fun pet who will enjoy going on adventures with her family. She may appreciate having someone at home most of the time while she settles.

Maisie would love to be part of a younger family who will include her on long weekend walks and family days out. She is fun and cuddly and will love to have lots of company and interaction.

Deano is a gentle-natured boy who is friendly with the other hounds and is good around children. More info as we get to know him!Deano is a beautiful, tall blue boy – everyone remarks on his good looks. Deano has a kind and gentle nature, he can be a little shy initially but is incredibly affectionate and loving when he knows you. Deano is friendly with all people and the other hounds, he is also good with quieter children and takes no notice of other breeds. Deano has a very loyal nature and will be a wonderful companion for a lucky person.

Deano would likely prefer a quieter home where he won’t be left alone too much as he loves company and affection. Deano would happily share his home with other dogs and is happy around quieter children.

Missy is a pretty black girl who is very friendly and great with children – she will make a lovely family pet. Not cat friendly.

Bilco is a smaller, very sweet boy with a happy and friendly nature. He loves everyone and greets all people and dogs with a waggy tail and enthusiasm.
Bilco is young, playful and enjoys his walks. He is also very clean and quiet in his kennel, a real pleasure to care for.
Bilco is almost completely blind as he has Progressive Retinal Atrophy. Despite this, he adapts very well to his surroundings and takes everything in his stride.
Bilco would do well in a calm, relaxed home where there will be little change to his environment. He would love to live with another hound with a calm and kind temperament, and could also live with older children who will understand his needs.
Bilco is mostly good on the lead but can be strong when he gets a smell or he wants to greet someone!

Libby is a pretty, smaller girl who walks well on the lead. She is affectionate and loves being in the company of people. Libby walks well with the other hounds and enjoys countryside walks, but she can get overwhelmed in busier places and may freeze. She will need time to settle and be able to take things at her own pace. Libby may be able to live with quieter, older children and possibly a laid-back male hound.

Libby would be best suited to a relaxed home in a quieter location with a kind and patient person who will help her grow in confidence. Libby doesn’t enjoy being in her kennel so we’d love to find her a home soon.

Hippo is a truly stunning boy with his tall, elegant stature and sleek, shiny coat. Mostly good on the lead too, Hippo loves to be out walking or visiting a secure field for a stretch of the legs. Hippo can be unsure of new people and in new situations so will be best in an adult home with a good routine. He will need lots of time, patience and multiple visits to gain trust of any potential adopter. Hippo will be a very loyal companion once he bonds with you.

Hippo’s racing name was Twende Kiboko [IE/IE 2019] . Born 15 February 2019

Handsome, happy Spy is our second longest stayer. He is mostly good on the lead and friendly with the other hounds that he knows. Spy has grown in confidence so much since he first came to us, he’s really funny and loves showing his cheeky and playful nature now. Spy can still be shy in new places and may be fear reactive towards other breeds – plenty of space, positive reinforcement and slow introductions really help him succeed. Given some time, patience and routine, Spy will make a fab pet, we all think he’s great!

Spy’s ideal Home

Spy would be best suited to someone kind and gentle with dog experience. He needs someone who will help him gain confidence at his own pace. A home in a quieter location would be preferable, with a garden for him to enjoy some playtime. He is mostly easy on the lead but needs someone who can manage his strength if he gets spooked/reacts to something. He loves to feel comfy and warm.
